As an Associate Industrial Designer, you will bring consumer insight and stellar execution to design initiatives that harness cutting-edge technologies, integrating generative AI and emerging design tools into your workflow while ensuring each concept delivers real-world value. You will have the chance to work across consumer product categories, from home goods and baby gear to outdoor equipment and kitchen appliances. Guided by leadership, you will collaborate with graphic designers, usability experts, CMF specialists, and engineers to take concepts from initial idea through to reality./ppstrongResponsibilities:/strong/pulliSupport the development of new product concepts through sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping./liliTranslate design briefs, consumer insights, and trend research into compelling product ideas./liliAssist in the creation of design presentations and storytelling materials for internal and external stakeholders./liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Insights) to refine designs for feasibility and manufacturability./liliParticipate in brainstorming and ideation sessions, contributing fresh ideas and perspectives./liliBuild study models and mockups to explore form, ergonomics, and usability./liliEnsure design intent is carried through during development, supporting senior designers as needed./liliApply design fundamentals such as proportion, balance, and aesthetics in daily project work./liliDevelop proficiency in digital design tools (2D + 3D) and continuously expand technical skills./liliMaintain awareness of trends in consumer products, materials, and emerging technologies to inspire new design directions./li/ulpstrongQualifications:/strong/pulliMinimum: Bachelors degree in Industrial Design/lili0 -3 years of relevant experience in corporate or consulting design/liliDemonstrated ability to work in team environments/li/ulpstrongPreferred experience:/strong/pulliDemonstrates Aesthetic Sensibilities through product form, detailing, and CMF with ability to rationalize concept selection/liliShows Consumer Empathy through designs informed by articulated and unarticulated insights./liliUtilizes clear Design Context with compelling prompts and basic LLM use. Proficient with ChatGPT, MS CoPilot./liliWorking knowledge of Design Feasibility with basic materials and manufacturing understanding./liliStrong 2D Design skills including essential sketching and Gen AI exploration. Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, Midjourney, Vizcom or equivalents./liliWorking 3D Design skills with basic CAD modeling, surfacing, rendering, and NURBS. Proficient with SolidWORKS, Rhino, Keyshot, Kaedim or equivalents./liliBasic Motion Design for animations and video content supporting product storytelling.
