ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
\n - Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area
\n - Operate various types of CNC machines to produce parts conforming to print requirements, may include basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements
\n - Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
\n - Demonstrate an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and basic print reading
\n - Performs basic daily maintenance or checks for machines
\n - Will make more complex program or tooling adjustments to produce conforming parts
\n - Operate a 2 axis lathe and hold .0005 tolerances
\n - Operate a 4th axis mill
\n - Perform First Part Inspections for all lathe and mill operations
\n - Mentor and assist colleagues in set ups or program adjustments
\n - Will make program or set up datasheet adjustments to master files for future use
\n - Other duties as necessary

SKILLS and ABILITIES \n - Computer skills (MS Office) and experience in ERP systems preferred
\n - Working knowledge of manufacturing principals, basic shop math, and basic blueprint reading
\n - Knowledge of hand tools and general inspection tools
\n - Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions
\n - Ability to change some machine set ups (pallets, collets, etc.)
\n - Can perform diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshoot basic programming and machine issues
\n - Ability to change most machine set ups and update master programming and set up data sheets
\n - Willing and able to train colleagues with troubleshooting and adjusting machines and programs

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE \n - Previous experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) preferred.
\n - Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred.
\n - Previous experience in manual or CNC machining preferred.
\n - Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to stand, stoop and lift up to 40 lbs.
