Grant Manager – Doña Ana Community College Location: Doña Ana Community College, East Mesa Campus, DAEM 208C, Strategic Initiatives and Relationships suite Classification: Mgr, Grants & Contract Admin Employment Type: Full‑time Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior level Closing Date: December 6, 2025 23:55 MST Job Summary: DACC invites applications for a Grant Manager who will oversee campus‑wide sponsored research administration. The role provides leadership, direction, and expertise for proposal development, contract negotiation, compliance, and funding strategy across federal, state, corporate, foundation, and local sources. Key Responsibilities Manage sponsored research functions, including faculty and staff mentoring, funding source matches, and maintenance of the grants library. Review, negotiate, and approve proposals and contracts to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations. Serve as liaison to external agencies, maintaining contact with governmental and private funding sources. Coordinate campus‑wide training in proposal writing and research administration. Produce special reports, proposals, and analyses for federal, state, educational, and regulatory agencies. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and long‑term planning initiatives for efficient unit operation. Develop annual operating budgets and provide fiscal direction. Represent DACC at community meetings, committees, and task forces to promote programs and policies. Supervise professional or support staff as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the duties outlined above. Knowledge of government and industry sponsored research programs, contracting processes, grant funding policies, budgeting, and fiscal management. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with personal computers, automated library systems, and related software applications. Ability to develop record‑keeping systems, analyze financial data, and lead strategic planning. Experience supervising and training employees. Preferred Qualifications Progressive management experience with grants and contracts. Solid understanding of grant development and strong communication abilities. Special Requirements Occasional travel to partner organizations and funding agencies is required.
