Overview

A lovely single father on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, tech-savvy, detail-oriented full-time housekeeper to join his busy and dynamic household. This is a highly collaborative environment with multiple staff, including two nannies, an assistant, and a part-time cook. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, child-friendly, flexible, and comfortable working in a home with frequent movement, shifting schedules, and multiple residences within the same building.

Although this is primarily a housekeeping role, the family values having a second adult present in the home who can offer backup coverage when a nanny is unavailable. The children are 7 & 11, so its just being a watchful presence in the home. The home is warm, fast-paced, busy, and joyful—an excellent long-term fit for someone who enjoys being part of a team.

Start Date: ASAP 

Schedule: 

• Full-Time, 5 days/week, will always have 2 consecutive days off 
• Flexible hours — schedule provided weekly
• Must be open to weekends depending on staffing needs
• 40+ hours/week
• Some early-morning coverage may be needed if the nanny cannot arrive early

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping for three separate units in the same building:
• Main 3-bedroom apartment (bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, office around 2,000 sq ft)
• Secondary 1-bedroom unit (office, living room, kitchen)
• Third studio unit with bed, workspace, kitchen, bathroom
• Deep cleaning, daily upkeep, and general organization
• Light grocery shopping and household errands
• Laundry and ironing
• Wardrobe and closet organization
• Inventory management for household supplies
• Occasional meal prep or cooking (not required but a bonus)
• Casual hosting assistance for gatherings or parties
• Provide a “second adult” in the home when needed (child-friendly but not responsible for primary childcare)
• Communicate regularly with the household team
• Use Google Chat/Email for daily communication and task management

Qualifications

• Deep cleaning expertise
• Child-friendly and comfortable in a busy household
• Tech-savvy; able to use smartphones, Google Chat, email
• Reliable, flexible, able to adapt to changing schedules
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• High level of communication skills

Requirements

• Legal to work in the U.S
• Strong English speaking skills 
• 5+ years of professional housekeeping experience

Salary and Benefits

• $35/hr + OT
• W-2 employment
• $400/month health stipend
• 2 weeks PTO to align with families travels
