Empower Well-being, One Connection at a Time, in a Purpose-Driven Patient Community

CareATC is looking for an empathetic and driven Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time, 40-hour per week, ONSITE opportunity in Louisville, KY. This role specifically supports PPL’s Healthy for Life clinics, providing whole-person, integrated mental health care within the service territories of KY, RI, and PA.

Why CareATC is Different (and Why You'll Love It Here):

At CareATC, our employer-sponsored model creates a unique and rewarding environment:

  • Patients Win: They receive high-quality medical care, including dispensed medications, often with little to no out-of-pocket cost, leading to greater access and adherence.

  • You Win: Enjoy a predictable schedule that truly supports your work-life balance – say goodbye to on-call duties and weekend/holiday work! Experience consistent income with manageable productivity expectations, allowing you to focus on providing excellent care without the pressures of traditional settings.

  • Employers Win: They benefit from a healthier, happier, and more productive workforce, leading to reduced healthcare costs and a more engaged employee base.

CareATC Advantages Include:

  • Access to clinic services and medications at no or low cost for you and your dependents, based on location.

  • Generous CEU reimbursement to fuel your professional growth.

  • Malpractice Insurance provided for your peace of mind.

  • A comprehensive benefits package (for eligible roles), including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Time Off, Disability & Life Insurance, a Wellness Program, and much more!

About the Job:

Imagine empowering individuals within a dedicated patient community to overcome challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. As a trusted clinical partner in our employer-sponsored health center, you'll deliver compassionate, whole-person, integrated mental health care, guiding patients through personal stressors related to relationships, family, parenting, and more. You'll champion emotional wellness and healthy behavioral habits, utilizing evidence-based interventions and a strengths-focused approach to foster sustainable change. Collaborating closely with medical providers and a supportive mental health leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in transforming lives. Picture helping an employee regain their footing after a personal crisis, contributing to a healthier and more resilient workforce.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide compassionate, whole-person care to a dedicated patient population, offering individual and/or family counseling to help them manage stress, improve relationships, and develop healthier coping strategies.

  • Seamlessly connect patients with long-term therapy, psychiatric services, or vital outside resources when needed, ensuring continuity of care.

  • Champion engagement by raising awareness of mental health services through client-driven wellness initiatives.

  • Educate and empower patients (and occasionally employers) with valuable knowledge about emotional and behavioral well-being.

  • Lead proactive outreach efforts, including check-ins, engaging wellness programs, informative workshops, and active participation in health-related events.

  • Bridge the gap to community resources, addressing social determinants of health like access to food, transportation, or medication to enhance overall well-being.

  • Collaborate closely with medical providers to gain a holistic understanding of each patient's health journey, ensuring smooth care transitions when specialty referrals are necessary.

  • Contribute as an integral member of an integrated care team, aligning corporate wellness goals and strengthening support throughout the health center.

  • Identify and address social determinants of health, such as access to food, transportation, or medication, and help patients navigate available solutions.

  • Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with health center staff, leadership, and client partners to achieve shared objectives.

  • Adapt to the evolving needs of patients and the center, knowing that your insights and flexibility are valued.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Education that Makes an Impact: A Master’s in Social Work (M.S.W.) from a CSWE-accredited program—or a related behavioral health field.

  • Licensure You’re Proud Of: A current, active license with the Board of Social Work (or related licensing board) in good standing within Kentucky (KY). Must be willing to obtain an additional license in IN, PA, RI, and possibly VA & MA.

  • Therapy Experience That Counts: At least 5 years of recent experience (within the last 2 years) providing evidence-based individual counseling in a mental health or healthcare setting.

  • Tech-Confident Clinician: Comfortable navigating electronic medical records, clinical documentation, and basic word processing and data entry—ideally with at least 12 months of recent experience.

  • Bonus Experience (Preferred): Previous experience providing integrated behavioral health services in a primary care setting within the last 3 years.

And Just as Important…

  • Empathy & Compassion: You meet patients where they are, fostering a safe and supportive environment for their growth.

  • Strong Communication Skills: You listen attentively, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with both patients and interdisciplinary teams.

  • Adaptability: You thrive in evolving care environments and readily work with diverse patient populations.

  • Team Spirit: You value shared goals, offer support to your colleagues, and contribute to a connected, mission-driven care team.

  • Commitment to Whole-Person Care: You see beyond the diagnosis, empowering patients to achieve lasting emotional and behavioral wellness.
