Job Description

Our client is a leader in the Plastic Injection Molding industry specializing in Medical Device and other custom manufactured parts.

We are currently looking for a Mold Maker in New Port Richey, FL

Pay: $28 – $35/hour

Summary:

Mold Maker to Build, repair, and modify complex plastic injection molds.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and disassemble complex molds to meet customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot and repair mold issues within a reasonable cost and time frame.
• Operate necessary equipment and perform inspections efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Set-up and operate CNC machine.
• Communicate and coordinate with vendors and team members.
• Work with a cross functional team of Tooling Engineers, CNC machinists, and other Mold Makers.
• Wire complete runnerless molds with supervision.
• Time rack and gear molds and assemble molds with hydraulic cylinders.
• Utilize Mastercam Software.
• Manage minor mold repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• 2 years technical/trade school with an emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of mold making experience with proficiency in precision surface grinding, CNC milling, and EDM processes.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Mastercam.
• Technical mathematical skills such as geometry, trigonometry, and print reading.
• Knowledge of tool shop processes.
• Ability to lift 70 pounds and use precision measuring tools.
• Valid identification and authorization to work in the United States.
