Current teaching opportunities in adult medical-surgical, maternity, and fundamentals are available for Fall 2025. Future openings anticipated in pediatrics, mental health, and public health. Responsibilities * Teaching in clinical specialty settings, as qualified. * Opportunities for teaching in the nursing skills and simulation labs are available. * Evaluation of students in clinical and/or laboratory settings, including assignment grading. * Collaboration with a teaching team within the course. Skills * Enthusiasm for teaching and nursing practice * Displays content area expertise * Ability to work as part of a team and support positive interactions * Strong communication skills with the ability to provide substantive feedback * Flexibility and problem-solving skills * Respectful of diverse talents and perspectives Experience * A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in primary specialty is necessary; clinical experience in an additional nursing specialty is welcome. * Previous experience as a nurse educator in an academic setting or as a preceptor of students or new nursing employees would be an asset. Education A bachelor's degree in nursing is required; master's degree or higher is preferred. A clinical focus with recent practice in specialty setting is necessary. Current Minnesota RN licensure or eligibility required. Additional Information Adjunct teaching positions for maternity and adult medical-surgical are available starting August 18, 2025. Openings for fundamentals are available starting September 29, 2025. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Hybrid or Face to Face Undergraduate teaching is $1250/credit hour.
