Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) Location: Auburn, WA, United States Schedule: Full-time, Day Job Benefits: (benefits not listed) RESERVED NOTICE: This is NOT a UAS, UAV, RPV, or DRONE pilot position. Responsibilities The RPO simulates a pilot in a high-fidelity air traffic control training simulator, operating a simulated radar display and voice communication system to represent real pilot and remote ATC facilities. Receive voice commands from students and input appropriate actions into the automated system. Translate displayed radar and voice data into appropriate ATC terminology. Respond to students via the VCS using proper phraseology and ATC procedure phraseology. Complete classroom certification on airspace and procedures and laboratory certification performing as an RPO on all positions. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer proficiency and ability to read and interpret diagrams, manuals, and other materials. Clear communication skills: speak clearly and be understood. US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Desired: Experience working in a multidisciplinary team. Experience and certification in ATC Tower, TRACON or En Route simulation lab is strongly desired. Effective oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of FAA JO 7110.65 is strongly desired. Team building skills. Basic familiarity with current technology tools (tablets, notebooks, applications).
