Murro./ppstrongPosition Summary:/strong The digital producer should be a skilled writer who can craft headlines and content that provide value to the audience and drive user engagement. The producer will use analytics data to make decisions about audience interest helping with website organization. The producer is the primary advocate for growing and directing off-platform participation among the digital editorial group. This person must be highly motivated with an ability to focus and re-focus on a constantly changing target./ppstrongPosition Responsibilities:/strong/pulliDevelops and leads winning strategy for station content/liliExpert understanding of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok/liliReviews copy and will correct errors in content, grammar, and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelines/liliUtilizes social media and station website to build and reinforce brand recognition/liliResearch and analyze background information related to news stories in order to be able to provide complete and accurate information/liliGather information about events through research, interviews, experience or attendance at political, news, sports, artistic, social or other functions/liliPitches local and trending stories during morning meetings/liliOpportunity to shoot and edit content for digital platforms/liliEnsures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality/liliWrites stories for the web and other digital platforms/liliPerforms other duties as assigned/liliFinds new ways to use social media and station website to engage with viewers/liliHelps create, upload and schedule content for streaming, as well as running breaking news update livestreams from our OBS desk in the Digital News Studio/li/ulpstrongRequirements Skills:/strong/pulliBachelors degree in journalism; news website experience required; live, working web samples preferred/liliProficiency in AP Style, Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Express, Canva and other graphical software preferred/liliAdobe Analytics and Google Trends experience a plus/liliFamiliarity with OBS preferred/liliMaintain positive work environment through active team participation and cooperation with co-workers in all departments/liliResponds positively to feedback/li/ulpstrongTypical day:/strong This individual will need to maintain awareness of external social media conversations and manage our own posts across all accounts throughout the day while also scheduling holdable content for off hours.
