Job Description

Salary: $125,000 - 155,000 per year Requirements:

  • A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 7 years of professional experience as a database administrator, system administrator, or in information technology.
  • More than 5 years of experience in administering Oracle and DB2 databases.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the field of security.
  • Proficiency in version control tools (Git).
  • Strong understanding of software architecture principles and best development practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience with monitoring and log management tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
  • Skills in networking and infrastructure security.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Oracle and DB2 databases.
  • Ensure the performance, availability, and security of databases.
  • Carry out regular backups and restorations as needed.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance.
  • Manage user access and permissions.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Participate in establishing security and compliance policies.
  • Document processes and configurations to ensure traceability and reproducibility.
  • Train and support teams on best practices in database management.
