For a brand or agency outside Turkey, working with a CGI studio in Istanbul comes down to one question: do the brief, the approvals and the delivery hold up remotely? Most of the production happens on screen anyway, and when a shoot is needed the location can be Istanbul or the brand's own city. This piece covers how the process is set up across borders, what needs to be written down at the start, and where Istanbul actually fits in. The framework we use with agencies and brand teams sits on our CGI and AI collaboration page for agencies.
How does remote production actually run?
The process moves in four steps, and none of them require being in the same room. The order matters more when teams sit in different countries: at the end of each step you have something concrete to approve.
- Brief. The goal, the channels it will run on, the product assets you already have (a 3D model, a packaging file or photos), reference work and the campaign date. A short brief is enough; we come back within 24 hours with a suggested approach.
- Delivery. Versions cut for where the film runs: vertical, horizontal, square; social and TV edits.
Clytech is a CGI, FOOH and AI advertising studio based in Istanbul and London. We have delivered 150+ projects for 85+ brands in more than 15 countries, and our work has passed 500 million views in total.
Where does the shoot happen for a brand abroad?
The shoot happens where the idea happens; the studio's address does not decide that. If a FOOH idea plays out in front of a store in Stockholm, the footage comes from there; if it plays out on a square in Istanbul, it comes from here. On some projects the base is footage the brand already has, or a recording of an OOH activation.
How do approvals and revisions work at a distance?
The biggest time sink in remote work is an undefined revision. Each round states what can still change — camera move, product angle, colour — and what would count as re-production after that point.
The second rule for teams in different time zones: feedback gets collected in one place. Scattered notes are how the same shot ends up being built twice.
Delivery: formats, channels and versions
A TV film and a social video that come from the same idea are not the same file: framing, pacing and the delivery package differ. That is why the channel list belongs in the first lines of the brief. For work going to several markets, ask for text, logos and subtitles to be kept on separate layers; adding a language then changes a layer instead of rebuilding the film.
When an agency arrives with its own concept, the division of labour is laid out step by step in CGI collaboration for agencies.
Examples from Clytech
These four projects show how production runs for a brand abroad: the location can sit in another country, the idea can be built on a city landmark, and the same idea can be needed in two formats at once.
J.Lindeberg, Stockholm: a giant shoe at NK
The CGI film we produced for J.Lindeberg extends the brand's OOH activation at the NK department store in Stockholm. In the film, drones carry an oversized version of the new shoe across the city before it arrives. The 9:16 piece gathered over 200,000 views across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter and LinkedIn.

J.Lindeberg, Paris: the Eiffel Tower as a golf tee
For the same brand's sponsorship of the U.S. Golf Team at the Paris Olympics, our Paris Olympics CGI tribute flips the Eiffel Tower upside down into a giant golf tee, with a massive golf ball resting on top. Using the most recognisable landmark in Paris as the brand's stage, the film was produced as a vertical FOOH piece for social media.

Three: one idea, two formats
It was produced for use across digital screens and presentation formats, while the vertical cut of the same idea was edited separately for social feeds. Format is a decision made at the start of production, not at the end.
London: a FOOH for our own brand
The Future is Here is a FOOH illusion Clytech produced in London for its own brand: a giant banner unfolds across the city's iconic bridge and the message appears. Being our own piece, it was where we could test production choices freely.
On scale, our most-watched work comes from Turkey: in the SUWEN bus stop CGI film, an ordinary bus stop becomes a brand showcase, shot vertically to stop the scroll on social feeds; it passed 58 million views.
What stays on your side, what stays on ours?
Most of the friction in a remote project comes from an unclear owner. This split works well from day one:
| Stage | Brand / agency | Studio |
|---|---|---|
| Brief | Goal, channels, timeline, brand rules | Suggested approach and a list of questions |
| Product assets | 3D model, packaging file or product photos | Modelling whatever is missing |
| Concept | Feedback collected in a single round | Idea, location proposal |
| Shoot | Location access if needed | Camera and lighting plan |
| Production | Approval at the defined rounds | Modelling, animation, lighting |
| Delivery | The list of formats and versions | Channel-specific versions and source files |
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be in Turkey to work with a CGI studio in Istanbul?
No. The brief, the concept presentation, revision rounds and delivery all run remotely. Our team works from Istanbul and London, and we have produced this way for brands in more than 15 countries.
Can you shoot on location abroad?
If the idea plays out in another city, the footage comes from there; on some projects we build on footage the brand already has.
We have the concept — will you take on production only?
Yes. The concept can come from you, or we can develop it together; production stays with our team. Revision rounds and the delivery date are defined up front.
How long does delivery take?
Scene complexity, whether a shoot is needed and approval rounds set the timeline. Going from concept approval to final render takes days rather than weeks on most projects; we confirm the exact schedule once we have seen the brief.
What should I look at when assessing a studio?
Published view counts, whether the work was really produced by that team, and how clearly delivery is defined. We go through the criteria one by one in how to choose a CGI and FOOH studio in Turkey.
Next step
If you are bringing a project from abroad, three things get it moving: the one idea you want to land, the channels the film will run on and the product assets you already have. Send us your brief and we'll come back within 24 hours with an approach, or start with our company presentation. The scope of CGI ad film production and the items that shape a budget are on our CGI ad film production page.
