AI product visuals for e-commerce: a realistic guide
Published on
Let's fix the expectation first: AI did not unplug product photography. It did something more interesting; it changed the economics of a shoot. Set up a product correctly once and it can travel through a hundred scenes.
Where AI visuals shine: scale
Adapting a fifty product catalogue to four seasons takes months and a serious budget with shoots. In an AI assisted pipeline the same job drops to weeks. In the Paşabahçe holiday campaign, real products toured scenes built by AI; studio rental was zero.
The red line: the product stays true
In e-commerce a visual is a promise; when the delivered product differs from the picture, returns climb. So we never let AI "imagine" the product itself: it comes from a real shoot or an exact 3D model, and AI builds the scene around it. Label, colour and texture stay exactly as the brand approved.
Brand consistency does not happen by itself
AI's default aesthetic hands everyone the same glossy, generic look. Keeping a brand's language means defining light, palette and framing rules upfront and passing every image through that filter. Think of it as buying a system, not a picture.
Video is its own kitchen
Moving AI content needs different machinery; we cover it in the AI ad film piece. If you are after classic 3D product video, start with the brief guide.
List your catalogue and channels in the form on our AI visuals page; we will prepare a sample set with one of your products. Deciding over real sample images is the healthiest route for both sides.
