When you choose an AI production company in Turkey, start with two things: real AI work that has actually been released for a brand, and whether the team can combine AI with CGI and live action in one pipeline. Everything else on the list (product accuracy, brand safety, usage rights, delivery formats, consistency, revisions and responsiveness) sits on top of those two foundations. Below are nine criteria, each tied to a piece of Clytech work that is live today.
If you want the short version, there is a checklist table after the criteria. To see the service itself, our AI ad film production page covers the process and the most common questions in one place.
What does an AI production company actually do?
An AI production company uses generative AI tools to make commercials, social content, brand characters and product visuals, and brings the output up to broadcast standard. That last part is the one that matters. Anyone can open a tool and generate an image now; delivering a film a brand can safely run on TV, online and on in-store screens takes concept work, selection, correction, editing, colour and sound.
A capable AI production team's day-to-day work looks roughly like this:
- Concept and look exploration: AI makes it possible to test many directions quickly, and one is chosen with the brand team.
- Generation and selection: Scenes are generated and the most consistent ones are kept. This stage involves far more rejection than most people expect.
- Correction and integration: Product, logo and character consistency are secured with CGI, compositing and retouching.
- Edit, colour and sound: The film is cut separately for each channel and finished with colour grading and sound design.

9 criteria for choosing an AI production company
1. Do they have real AI work on air?
Look for work made for a brand and actually released, not test clips or experiments. A portfolio should tell you the brand, the format and where the work ran. The character we designed with AI for Cepte ŞOK, for example, became a commercial that aired on national TV in Turkey. Work like that shows the team understands what broadcasters expect, both technically and editorially.
2. Can they combine AI with CGI and live action?
A team that only uses AI gets stuck wherever AI is weak: fine product detail, a brand logo, a specific real location. A team that works hybrid produces each shot with the method that suits it best. Roman's winter 2026 campaign is a good example: fashion-film aesthetics and AI-driven production work together in a single piece. We explain how live action, CGI and AI share one workflow in our guide to hybrid production.
3. Will your product stay true to the real thing?
The most common problem with AI imagery is a product that looks similar but not identical: a warped label, a drifting logo, a bottle that quietly changes shape. Ask where the product imagery will come from. At Clytech it comes from your photos, our own shoot, a 3D model or AI, depending on the project; whichever route we take, the final check is that the label, logo and shape match the real product. When the products are the centrepiece of the scene, as in Paşabahçe's New Year video, this criterion is non-negotiable.
4. Is there a defined brand-safety and approval flow?
Likeness, copyright and brand rules for AI-generated imagery should be discussed before production starts. A face that resembles a real person, an object that evokes another brand, a palette that drifts away from corporate colours: these need to be caught at concept stage, not after launch. A good team writes the approval points down up front (concept, style frames, first edit, final), and it is clear who signs off at each one.
5. Are usage rights written into the contract?
Usage rights in AI work have two layers: the agreement between you and the studio on channels, duration and territories, and the terms of the AI tools themselves. Settle where, for how long and in which countries you will use the work at the quote stage, and make sure the studio includes its tool terms in that review. This article is not legal advice; work with your own legal team on the contract.
6. Do they plan delivery formats by channel?
A 16:9 film for TV and a 9:16 cut for Reels or TikTok should not be the same file cropped two ways. Framing, text-safe areas and the opening seconds are planned separately for each format. The Cepte ŞOK film was produced in 16:9, while Paşabahçe's New Year video and the Galata Tower AI FOOH video were made in 9:16. List your channels in the brief and the delivery package is built around them from day one.
7. Can they keep a character and look consistent?
One striking frame is easy; keeping the same character consistent across scenes, expressions and a campaign that runs for months is hard. For Cepte ŞOK, the character's expressions, the scene editing and the colour palette were all designed to match the brand's energetic tone. If you are planning a series, ask the studio for an example where the same character or visual world carries across more than one piece.
8. Is the revision process clear from the start?
AI production is iterative, and another attempt is always one click away. Without limits on revisions, projects drift. A good quote states which stages include revision rounds and how many there will be. "Unlimited revisions" sounds generous, but it usually means an open-ended schedule. We explain how revision scope feeds into a quote in what decides the price of an AI ad film.
9. Are they responsive, and is the timeline realistic?
Speed is the most tangible advantage of AI production: on most projects, going from concept approval to delivery takes days rather than weeks. That speed starts with how quickly the studio gets back to you. At Clytech we reply to briefs within 24 hours, and we confirm the exact schedule once we have seen the brief. Be cautious with any quote that fixes a number of days before anyone has read your brief.
Checklist: questions to ask a studio
| Criterion | Question to ask | A reassuring answer |
|---|---|---|
| Work on air | Which of your AI projects for a brand has been released? | A concrete example with brand, format and channel |
| Hybrid production | What do you do when AI isn't enough? | Finishing with CGI, compositing or a live-action shoot |
| Product accuracy | Where will the product imagery come from? | Photos, a shoot, a 3D model or AI, with a defined final check |
| Brand safety | When do you discuss likeness and copyright? | Before production, with written approval points |
| Usage rights | Are channels, duration and territories in the contract? | Yes, and the AI tools' terms are reviewed too |
| Delivery formats | Which aspect ratios do you deliver? | A separate edit per channel: 16:9, 9:16 and others |
| Consistency | Can you keep one character consistent across a series? | An example of a character or look used across several pieces |
| Revisions | How many rounds, and at which stages? | A written, stage-by-stage revision plan |
| Responsiveness | How soon do you reply to a brief? | A fast first reply and a firm schedule after the brief |
If you are looking for a CGI or FOOH studio instead, some of the criteria change; we cover those in how to choose a CGI and FOOH studio in Turkey.
Who is Clytech in AI production?

Frequently asked questions
Can an AI-made ad run on TV?
Yes. The character we designed with AI for Cepte ŞOK appeared in a commercial aired on national TV. What matters is bringing the AI output up to broadcast standard through editing, colour and sound.
Should I choose AI production or CGI?
CGI leads when every detail of the product must be exactly right; AI leads when you need fast exploration and many variations. Hybrid projects use both, and the right route depends on the brief.
Who owns the usage rights to an AI-generated ad?
That depends on the contract and on the terms of the tools used. Put channels, duration and territories in writing at the quote stage, and ask your own legal adviser for a definitive view.
What should I send an AI production company in a brief?
Your goal, the channels, product information (photos or a 3D model if you have them), reference work and the timeline. A short brief is enough; we reply within 24 hours.
Do you work with brands outside Turkey?
Yes. We work from Istanbul and London and have produced work for brands in more than 15 countries.
